Bar Code Fingerprint-in-show, titled: "Ten-Thousand Lives," collage on assembled panels, 72"x96"
This assemblage includes eight panels that had been used in my ceramics classroom as clay working surfaces. The clay work evidence has been recorded and panel #8 became the pattern and texture for the "Personal Definition" print. The panels have been attached to wooden frames that are bolted together for the assemblage. It is mounted to the wall of the gallery and I finished the actual work on the fingerprint design, on this wall in the Margaret Clark Gallery, on Sept. 12, 2009. I had saved the final touches for a ceremonial actuation of intent ritual attended by several of my closest friends. As the show was coming together for its opening Sept. 14, the final version of the image was completed. This is all about thanking everyone who put up with me over all these years, looking for completion. I sure enjoyed the show and everyone who has joined me in it. Not too late to see it again if I find another gallery.
