The large 6'X8' Bar Code Fingerprint, titled "10,000 Lives," is made up of eight 2'x3' panels that at one time had been used in my ceramics classes for rolling clay and cutting slabs for ceramic projects. The background layer in this Photoshop image is the back of the eighth panel. Hence the "8" the rest of the images are superimposed over a faded mug shot of me. This image summed up the concept of "self-definition" based on what we do. So I figured that a self-portrait with bar code and fingerprint with a clay board background, was appropriate. Artists do self-portraits sometimes, or often.
