Micro #1, 15"x20"
This is a Photoshop enlargement of a small section of the fingerprint. Printed on archival paper with a substantial margin of white paper around it as all the archival prints will be. For the show, all these prints are framed in beautiful archival mats and frames done by Marshall Taylor of "Unique Mat and Frame" of Redlands. Marshal makes this and all the other prints look exact and beautifully, tastefully elegant.
Each image comes across as very precise yet obviously just a "real" PRINT (as in fingerprint). We find ourselves in a show which seems to be an obvious redundancy with personalized uniqueness; how much like life we are. So "pedestrian" as I call it, like an "unearned" sophistication. At least it could, also, make you not think of anything at all. That too, might be a blessing once-in-awhile, like, . . . don't think, just do (is that "zen" or something?).
